Do you think of luxuriating in a spa retreat...getting pampered, massaged, maybe a mud bath, being served the best foods for what your body needs right now, drinking some special drink made up specifically for you?
Or could it mean simply taking time out of your busy schedule for you, curling up in a comfy chair reading a book and sipping on some infused water or tea?
This month of February is Care-Dare month, and I am one of the contributors.
So I will be sharing self-care ideas in this month's blog and I will post each day 1 idea
to support your self-care journey, then, by the end of the month hopefully you will have some awesome ideas and experiences with honoring and becoming the best you!
Lets start with some spa ideas...
Of course some of these things can be placed directly into the bath water, like vinegar or milk. Some will do better in gauze bags, like the tea and herbs. Place the herbs in the gauze bag and just let it float around in the water or tie the herb filled bag to the facet as the tub fills.
My favorite way to use herbs in the tub is to make a strong infusion, then strain the tea out and add the infused water to the tub, no mess that way.
A few of my favorite soaks are...
yogurt (1 large container of plain),
oatmeal (which I place in a gauze bag and rub all over my skin),
a light oil like almond or apricot with a few drops of some essential oil added.
Splashes are fun, simple ways to support your skin,
and are applied after you dry off.
Best to play with these to find the best way to use them.
My skin is dry so I need lots of moisture, so if I use them I am still moist (but not wet).
