Spring is time to work with the body and release what we may have stored in our bodies
during the winter months.
Bad eating habits and poor lifestyle practices
will eventually lead to a
serious level of negative elements in the body.
Over time these elements
also known as toxins can cause serious damage,
which can and will eventually lead to illnesses, ailments, and diseases.

Addressing this critical issue is of utmost urgency, and doing it with the
help of herbs is a prudent choice to make. This is because herbs are natural
compounds and will not further add to any existing negative conditions.

Clean Up The Body

While some herbs are smooth others can be rough on the body, thus it is
always better to start off with the gentler choice when stepping into a
detox session.

Psyllium
is an herb derived from the seed of a fleawort plant. When in
contact with liquid it expands. Psyllium is ideal for cleaning out the
intestines by removing the toxins. Because of its high fiber content it also
assists in "scrubbing" the digestive system effectively. However as this herb
tends to absorb a lot of liquid, it is important to drink a lot of water when
choosing to use this method of detox.

Aloe vera juice
is also great for the digestive system as it works to kill
the parasites, yeast, bacteria, and viruses. The laxative effect it helps
stimulate is for detox purposes.

 Dandelion
is one of my favorite herbs because it is and anti-oxident, stimulates the liver and promotes digestion. Dandelion helps clean deposits of toxic substances in the kidneys and urinary tract.

 Fennel seed
is also another herb popularly used in detox exercises. Mainly
used to induce bowel movements it also helps relieve gas pains and cramps in the
gastrointestinal tract.

Another way or add to the above...
to cleansing the body is drinking detox water,
lots and lots of water. Our body is so
amazing, that in 3 days, you will be feeling better, lighter.
Here are some ideas of how to add a little flavor and antioxidants
 to our detox water!

Cucumber
contains anti-inflammatory properties, add a few slices to your water for
excellent rehydration, as well.

 Ginger
goes a long way, it helps cleanse out your system, aids in
digestion, and settles your stomach

 Lemon
juice helps to cleanse and alkalize the body, it is a powerful detox drink; you
just have to squeeze fresh lemon juice into your glass.

Peppermint
will oxygenate your body as you detox, improve the circulation, help with your digestion, and aid you with headaches. Just add a few leaves to the water.

I recommend you place any of these ingredience to a jug of water and let it sit in your fridge over night. Then you are set up to drink that amount through the day, replacing your jug each evening.  Even exchanging your ingredients day by day.

Enjoy a lighter healthier spring!
